Offline-first personal finance for Android. Income, expenses, budgets, goals and dues — everything lives in a database on your phone. No server. No sign-up. No ads.
Net worth = the sum of your account balances. Transfers leave it unchanged, income raises it, expense lowers it. Everything else follows.
Cash, Bank, Card & Prepaid balance (a canteen fob or gift card) with real balances. UPI and debit cards spend their bank's money — a payment is never counted twice.
Three transaction types kept strictly apart. Tag anything and attach a receipt photo. Transfers never pollute budgets or reports.
Per-category budgets with period windows, live progress, and alerts at 80% and on overspend. A subcategory's cap can never exceed its parent's.
Who owes what, partial settlements, running balances. Lending is not spending — dues stay out of your budgets.
Day-wise money-in / money-out grid. EMI and bill reminders that post nothing until you confirm.
Category breakdown, income vs expense, net-worth trend and per-account reports.
Auto-backups land in your Downloads folder on a schedule, so they survive an uninstall. Plus PDF statements/reports and CSV export for accountants and Tally.
Paused in 1.1 for Play compliance. The on-device pipeline — parser, dedupe, review cards, undo — is ready and waiting.
An optional PIN gates the app on open, with fingerprint or face unlock on top — your ledger stays yours even if your phone doesn't.
Save toward a target with running progress and a contribution history — plus named shopping lists and a home-screen net-worth widget.
Opt-in per account: every rupee gets a job. Assign money from Ready to Assign into a category before you can spend it — a real value container, not just a ceiling.
Dashboard, transactions, budgets, accounts and calendar — the whole app, running entirely offline on your phone.
Release builds don't request the INTERNET permission, so transmitting your data is technically impossible — not a promise, a property. Verify it yourself: the code is open.
Four ways to install it — all free, and every build comes from the same tagged commit, compiled and checksummed by GitHub Actions. Hover an icon for details.
Scan to open the download page directly, or grab any build from GitHub Releases.
Every release ships SHA256SUMS.txt — verify your download.
The release process
is fully automated from a version tag.
XPENC is built and maintained by one person. Pick whichever channel suits you — bugs and feature requests are best on GitHub so nothing gets lost, but email and Discord reach me directly.
Account trouble, a backup that won't restore, or something you'd rather not post publicly — write to me directly.
Something broken, a wrong number, a missing bank template? File an issue — there are ready-made templates for bug reports, features and bank support.
Not sure it's a bug? Want to argue about how budgets should behave, or share how you use XPENC? Discussions is the place for open-ended talk.
Prefer to just talk? Add me on Discord and message me there — good for quick back-and-forth while you're debugging something.
Include your Android version, XPENC version (Settings → About) and the exact steps. A screenshot helps more than a paragraph.
Never send me your backup file unless I ask — and even then, it's your call. I can debug from steps alone.
One maintainer, so usually a day or two. GitHub gets checked most often.
XPENC is MIT-licensed. The highest-impact contribution is an SMS template for your bank — config and regex, no app internals needed.
